ROBOTICS

Even from a young age, I was highly motivated to start learning about robotics. I started off during fifth grade with the FIRST Lego League, where teams have to build a robot using Lego and program it to autonomously perform a series of tasks for points.

However, I was just getting started. I started FRC (First Robotics Challenge) in 9th grade, and I have been an active participant and leader since then. Here is all I have done in Robotics in High School

HIGH SCHOOL ROBOTICS

9th grade was when I had my first experience with true robotics, through a school club. In FRC, I first started off making the Scouting App for our team to be used in competition to scout the best teams by performance, and figure out their strengths and weaknesses. In my second year, however, I delved deeper into robot code as a standard software member, but unfortunately, the season got cut short due to the COVID Pandemic.

SOFTWARE LEAD

In my third year, I became the Software of the FRC team. I had to take on responsibilities such as training new members, leading the effort in programming the robot, and preparing for certain software related awards. Other responsibilities I had were giving input on the design of the robot, and knowing other branches such as hardware and electronics pretty well.

PERFORMANCE

Our competition was much different during my Junior year than other years mostly because it was meant to be done partially virtual. Most teams, we included, created a robot that could be used in a regular season. We ended up being number 1 in our division with 25 teams.
